About E. Arthur Brown Company, Inc. (EABCO)Founded in 1982, EABCO started up as a publisher of computer books. The first book was The Timex-Sinclair 1983 Directory. It was intended as a reference book but became our first catalog. We sold computer products from Timex, Commodore, Texas Instruments, Macintosh, and Atari. Around 1989, we started into gun products with another How-To book on Tuning up the Lee 1000 Progressive Reloading Press. This was followed by an adjustable charge bar for the Lee. We developed a product line and a crude catalog and began to evolve away from the orphan computers we'd been supporting. By 1991, we had a successful product line and purchased the BF Pistol from BF Arms of Grand Island, Nebraska. This we developed into THE gun of choice for International Handgun Metallic Silhouette competition (IHMSA).In 1997 we introduced the Model 97 Rifle based on our successful BF falling block action design. This was followed by the "97D" which features the current stock design you see in our internet photos. We began making and selling barrels and accessories for the Thompson Center Arms Encore in the years since then. Added the Ruger 10/22 after that. And came out with the Ruger 10/22 17 HM2 Conversion Kits a few years after that. We got into the Ruger #1 when we purchased the Hicks #1 Accurizer from Jeff Hicks. And more recently we began making barrels and accessories for the Savage bolt action rifle. Muzzle Loading became another major line for us in the past 4-5 years. We developed the PeepRib Sight System for the TC Encore a couple of years ago and just introduced the CVA PeepRib™ this Spring of 2008. |
