Rear Stabilizing TailB and P is an Italian firm whose fame comes from the many Olympic and international championships won with their shotgun shells. Their hulls are made using the "Gordon" system that allows molding the internals to give the best performance while reducing recoil.These new B and P slugs for deer hunting combine the Gordon system with a superbly accurate smoothbore slug design. Its a rifled slug attached to a stabilizer base that stays attached after the slug is fired. The group above was shot at 45 yards in a smoothbore 12 gauge... Yes, these really are smoothbore slugs! | For comparison purposes, a 44 Magnum is a 240 grain bullet going about 1200 fps. The 075-S001 Reduced Recoil B and P slug is almost twice the mass going the same velocity... plenty of knock-down for deer hunting. Its been recommended for USPSA-IIPSC competition due to its superb accuracy, low recoil, minimal barrel rise, and fast target re-acquistion between shots. Price is about midway between most slugs and sabots. |
