Where Am I and How do I Get Home?If you've always thought GPS was too complicated, this new Lowrance GO² was designed for you. You simply press "Enter" to record your starting position (Home), and then just go. The unit automatically begins recording your progress and tracking your trail on the map. When you're ready to go back home, you can visually follow your trail back on the LED screen. Or, you can select "Navigate Trail" from the menu and just follow the directional information on the navigation screen. The back-lit screen works at night, too.This is navigating in "Easy Mode" and is a great way to acquaint yourself with GPS without getting overwhelmed. As you get better at understanding it, you can switch to Advanced Mode and have all of the bells and whistles of a full function GPS... such as saving "Waypoints" like your favorite fishing spots, deer stands, and routes to them... |
