BF Action Tour
Big Pictures (Click on Them to Enlarge) to Tell
You About It and Show You How It Works!

__Our BF Falling Block Rifles and Pistols incorporate the falling block principle into a small lightweight frame with enhanced accuracy features. Prior to their present production by E. A. Brown Mfg., they were designed and built by Bert and Faye Stringfellow... hence the name "BF".
__The BF transfer bar safety is "ON" when the hammer is un-cocked and the trigger is forward as you see them in the picture to the left. Scroll down for more pictures and descriptions.

__To open the action, you pivot the trigger guard downward and forward. This pulls the block down from behind the breech of the barrel, revealing the chamber. In this position, the action is ready for a cartridge to be loaded. Notice that the hammer is part of the block. It stays un-cocked and goes down out of the way when the action is opened.

__In this picture, you can see the breech of the barrel exposed when the block is down and the action is open. Notice the ejector to the left of the chamber. Also, note that the hammer is un-cocked and has moved down out of the way along with the block.
__This is the loading and ejecting position of the action. To load, a cartridge is inserted into the empty chamber. After firing, the empty case is ejected when the action is opened to this position.

__Here we see the action as it looks loaded, cocked, and ready to fire. Notice that the trigger is back and that there is plenty of room for your trigger finger in the trigger guard. Notice that the hammer is drawn back into the cocked position. The action is "Off-Safe" when the hammer is cocked.
__The operation of the BF Falling Block Action is very simple. Open, load, and close it to "On-Safe" condition. Simply cock the hammer to "Off-Safe" firing condition.
