The Ruger 10/22 is arguably THE most popular .22 rifle in the world. Introduced by Sturm Ruger back in 1964, the 10/22 was revolutionary in its semi-auto blow back design and unique flush mount rotary magazine. But like so many .22 rifles, the Ruger 10/22 was dimensioned for small or young shooters... and as people grew up, their 10/22 rifles spent more and more time locked in the gun cabinet.
That all changed when some new shooting competitions became popular. The need for a fast and accurate .22 rifle brought the Ruger 10/22 back into the mainstream for adult shooters.
