Hornady 30 T/C (or 30 TC) Ammunition 20 ctgs 30 TC is a new cartridge developed by Thompson Center Arms for their short action bolt action rifles and Encore Pro Hunter barrels (below). Dimensionally, it is about the size of a 308 Winchester cartridge but it has a little more case capacity and is loaded to velocities about 100 fps faster than 308 Win (Note: That's just a comparison... 30 TC does not fit in rifles chambered for 308 Win). The Hornady 30 TC ammo with 165 gr SST bullet has a muzzle velocity of about 2,850 fps and zeroed for 200 yards, it will hit 1.7" high at 100 yds and 7.5" low at 300 yds. 30 T/C with the 150 gr SST bullet has a muzzle velocity of 3,000 fps and zeroed for 200 yards, it will hit 1.5" high at 100 yds and 6.9" low at 300 yds.
