Four Deer for Four Shots - Fall of 2008
Cold, windy, snowing and very dark. Six in the morning Three of us sat in
our stands near Spruce Center. Who knew what the day would bring. Karen, my wife
held out as long as possible in the coldest stand of the lot. Justin, a friend,
would have deer running into his tree stand before light, but none close enough
to shoot after sun up.
All I could think about was it's windy, snowing and my
new pistol is going to get wet. At 9:30 an eight pointer following a doe
presented a shot at about 45 yards. The 140 grain Sierra Game king went through
the ribcage, heart and out the other side. Later in the afternoon I took a doe,
a spike buck, and a yearling doe. Karen and I had our tags filled. (Karen was
happy she didn't have to sit in the wind any longer) The BF pistol and this load
performed flawlessly with none of the deer making it out of sight after being
hit. A very fine and accurate pistol with a great trigger. Thank you! - Dwight Behn
