This is the second of two one shot kills Jerry made
in his first year of hunting with the 97D Rifle. Hunting from a tree stand in
the central Minnesota woods, Jerry could make out this deer in the brush and
watched it for quite awhile waiting to get a shot. When it finally moved to
where its broadside chest was exposed through a window in the brush, Jerry made
a perfect heart lung shot with his 97D Rifle in 30-30 Winchester chambering.
Paced off to approximately 80 yards, Jerry "threaded the needle" to place the
shot precisely through the opening in the brush. Good Shooting
Jerry! |
